I am certainly not a professional restaurant critic.  I am just a regular Lake Nona resident intent on supporting our local businesses and community members…but I must admit I have loved Nona Sushi since they opened a few years ago in the Lake Nona area.  Deprived of restaurant choices in our community, my husband and I were doing back flips the first time we tried this excellent restaurant!

                                Nona Sushi has a warm ambiance and tranquility to it, making it a respite from a stressful workday for lunch, or a nice little date night location in the evenings.  I especially like the water features and connection to nature, which reflects the landscape of the Lake Nona community. 

Perhaps my favorite part of stopping in for lunch at Nona Sushi is the warm welcome from Ronnie, who remembers everyone’s name.  It’s fun to joke around a bit with him before we order and he always remembers our special requests.

     Jim and I typically dine during lunch.  Jim likes the volcano and tuna rolls while my favorite is the crunch munch roll.  I’m not a big fan of sushi, actually (I usually order the all cooked variety of rolls), but the sushi is so fresh here I have bravely ventured into trying the tuna rolls and have enjoyed it.  I also sometimes order the Bento Box which is very yummy.  Dinner time is also superb…and there are great choices for your non-sushi eating family and friends.
